Stade Français made a good start – Rugby Union France-Top 14

Reigning French rugby union league champion “Stade Français” made both their supporters and online betting fans happy by winning their first game of the season. The Paris-based rugby team crushed Pau 34-18 while delivering a great show to the audience at Jean Bouin with their four tries. Actually, the reigning champion faced a freshly-constituted team in a supporters-packed stadium. About 10,000 Stade Français supporters reportedly made the trip to Jean-Bouin to attend the inaugural match.

It did not take long for Stade Français to claim the lead (6th minute) with a nice try scored by Australia’s Hugh Pyle, owing to an unmatched team play with Jules Plisson. The effectiveness of Plisson allowed the team to gradually deepen the score gap to 13-6 until the break. At some point La Section Paloise regained control of the game (29-18 on the score-board in the 71th) with Thierry Lacrampe (52nd) and Daniel Ramsay (68th) scoring a try each. However, the team lacked coordination, resulting a number of fouls. Worse, Pau had four yellow cards, which negatively impacted their performance. The try scored by Camara in the 80th minute of the game was served as a curtain-fall to a vibrant home-win for Stade Français.
